There were two fatalities on Georgia lakes over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
DNR spokesman Mark McKinnon released numbers for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The fatalities were drownings on Lake Lanier in Hall County and Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville.
Twenty boating under the influence offenses were reported statewide - two on Lake Lanier.
One boating incident occurred in the Macon region on Saturday; McKinnon did not offer specific details on the incident.
In all of 2017, the DNR recorded 14 drownings in the Gainesville region - five of those were on Lake Lanier; there were three boating fatalities in 2017 in the Gainesville area - two of those on Lanier.
