The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will be busy on State Route 400 (Georgia 400) this weekend.
"On Friday, May 11 at 9 p.m. though Sunday, May 13 at 5 p.m. there will be a continuous double right lane closure on State Route 400 northbound between Highway 20 to the off ramp at Bald Ridge Marina Road (Exit 15)," said GDOT spokeswoman Katie Strickland in a press statement.
Strickland said the continuous double lane closure will allow for the removal and replacement of damaged concrete portions of the roadway.
The work will reduce Georgia 400 northbound to one lane over the weekend.
Strickland also said that on Tuesday, May 15, a double right lane closure on 400 northbound will start back between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. from Pilgrim Mill Road and State Route 306 (Keiths Bridge Road) to mark additional sections of the concrete roadway that will be replaced.
