A Gainesville man is facing charges for allegedly setting fire to a mobile home on April 23 in Northwest Hall County.
Aaron Bentley Dunagan, 36, is accused of setting multiple fires inside a mobile home on Vaughndale Circle, said Lt. Scott Ware, Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman, in a statement.
Nobody else was home at the time, but Dunagan suffered burns in the case, said Capt. Zach Brackett with Hall County Fire Services.
The mobile home was destroyed.
Later that day Dunagan allegedly damaged a vehicle, and when deputies arrived at the scene, Dunagan was incoherent and grabbed the end of a deputy's gun.
At that point, he officers used a Taser on him, said Ware.
He was taken to an Atlanta hospital for burn treatment, and later released into law enforcement custody. Deputies charged him with five criminal counts.
On May 2, Hall County Fire Services determined that the fire was a case of arson, and added an arson charge to Dunagan's rap sheet.
Bond was set at $15,650 for the first round of charges, but as of Thursday morning, no bond was set on the arson charge.
