The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that on Sunday, April 29, crews with Pittman Construction Company of Conyers will begin resurfacing 6.268 miles of State Route 11 / US 129 in Jackson County.
A GDOT spokesperson said the project was awarded in October of 2017 and has a scheduled completion date of September, 30 2018. It begins south of State Route 11 Business and ends just north of the intersection with State Route 332 in Talmo.
Lane closures will occur in the evenings and overnight Monday through Sunday 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
This project represents an investment of $4.6 million in resurfacing in Jackson county.
GDOT advises that exact dates may change due to weather or other factorsand that motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers
