Rain and thunderstorms will return to north and central Georgia today ahead of an approaching cold front.

The National Weather Service says some thunderstorms may be "strong to severe."  The primary severe weather threats associated with this system will be hail and strong, gusty winds, according to forecasters.

Unlike earlier in the week, when 4-5 inches of rain fell in some places over the course of several days, this is expected to be a "one-day event" with amounts of up to one inch possible.

More details are available on the NWS Peachtree City website
