A two-vehicle wreck in White County claimed the life of a Braselton man Wednesday afternoon.

Julian Edward Roberts, 37, died after his 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck the front driver’s side of another vehicle in a curve while southbound on Ga. 75, according to Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville.

That second vehicle was a stopped northbound 2014 Honda passenger van driven by Jill Marie Fowler, 41, of Crawford.

The van was stopped in the road and as the southbound motorcycle negotiated a curve to the right it failed to maintain its proper lane, striking the van in the northbound land of Ga. 75, according to GSP.

Roberts was riding alone.

Fowler and her passenger, 69-year-old Sidney William Shortt of Helen, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges will be filed, according to GSP.

The wreck happened just after 5 p.m. on Ga. 75 north of Taylor Road near Helen.
