Hall County's water reclamation facility on Spout Springs Road has been awarded a Wastewater Facility Gold Award from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP).

The award is given to facilities based on their record keeping, monitoring and overall operations.

"Hall County's Contract Operations staff, Clearwater Solutions, works tirelessly to ensure the Spout Springs Water Reclamation Facility is operating at the highest level possible," Hall County Public Works Director Ken Rearden said. "I'd like to congratulate them and our elected officials for their receipt of this award as it is a direct reflection of their dedication to excellence in this field."

The Spout Springs Facility was built in 2004 and serves the southern portion of Hall County, including the Sterling on the Lake and Reunion subdivisions.

The award will be officially presented at the GAWP Spring Conference and Expo in Jekyll Island next month.
