A 22-year-old man is in the Gwinnett County Jail charged with throwing a brick at a deputy's car, breaking the windshield at Tara Fine Jewelry in Buford.

Deputy Shannon Volkodov told AccessWDUN not only did Christian May of Doraville throw the brick, but when the sheriff's deputy caught up with him, he resisted arrest and was combative, throwing several punches while being subdued.

Volkodov said he has given no explanation of why he damaged the squad car or why he was combative.

So far bond has not been set, according to Volkodov.

Volkodov said May was also arrested in December for making terroristic threats to people at a Gwinnett County drivers license center.
