When you get Bobby Pless, Tyler Sanders, and Chezley Watson talking about basketball, time tends to fly by fast.

That was the case when AccessWDUN invited the trio of boys coaches to talk about their Lanierland Tournament experiences on the eve of the 59th edition of the longest running high school tournament in Georgia.

The 2018 version is set to begin Thursday at Chestatee High School with eight games to determine the semifinals for both the boys and girls brackets.

Pless, Sanders, and Watson all played in the tournament in their playing days and now lead teams into the tournament as head coaches. Pless is in his third season at West Hall as coach, played for North Hall from 1981-84. Sanders, a 2004 Johnson grad, is in his sixth season at the helm of North Hall, and Watson, 1997 East Hall grad, is in his first season as coach of the Flowery Branch Falcons.

The three sat down with AccessWDUN's Bo Wilson and Jeff Hart to discuss, well, just about anything that came to mind concerning Lanierland.
