Motorcade transports fallen officer home to Habersham County

BALDWIN — A motorcade that stretched for miles escorted the body of fallen DeKalb County Police Officer Edgar Isidro Flores to Habersham County Saturday morning.

Officers from the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, DeKalb County Police Department, Baldwin Police, Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Avondale Estates Police Department, Cornelia Police Department and many others, as well as other branches of public safety and the towing industry, escorted the hearse transporting Flores’ body from DeKalb County to Whitfield Funeral Home in Baldwin.

Flores, 24, is a 2012 graduate of Habersham Central High School and formerly worked at Jaemor Farms in Alto.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet.
