A proposal for a new subdivision in North Hall is scheduled to be considered by the Hall County Planning Commission early next month.

Tim Allen and Dale Cronauer are requesting the rezoning of an 89.99-acre tract at Price and Thomas roads where a 72-lot subdivision is planned.  They are asking that the property be rezoned from Agricultural-Residential III (AR-III) to Residential-1 (R-1).

In addition, Edge City Properties, Inc., is asking for an amendment to conditions of a Planned Residential Development on 74.14 acres on Friendship Road near Heritage Crossing Drive.  A 233-lot subdivision is planned there.  The planning commission recommended approval of the development Nov. 6, 2017, and it was approved by the county commission on Dec. 12, 2017.

Also on the agenda is an application for a multi-use development on 518.63 acres on Cornelia Highway at Simpson Road which was tabled at an earlier planning commission meeting.  The applicant, Gateway 2 Partners, LLC, wants the property rezoned to Planned Industrial Development (PID).  The proposed use, according to the planning board's agenda, is "industrial, commercial, office, and institutional development."

Other items expected to be considered by the board include plans for an agri-entertainment district at 5337 Robin Trail and a distribution center at Roy Parks Road and Athens Highway.
