The fire that destroyed more than half of a 500-foot chicken house in East Hall County Wednesday has been deemed accidental.
Hall County Fire Capt. Zachary Brackett said owners of the structure estimated half of the 9,000 laying hens in the chicken house perished.
Brackett said the fire was electrical in nature and happened at a Cedar Creek Road location.
Bracket did not have a dollar amount associated with the loss.
