*Truett McConnell University Senior Professor of English Dr. Walton Young has a new book in the works. "Kinsman of the Gun" is scheduled for release next spring and will be the second in the current fictional western trilogy he is writing.
*The White County Republican Party meets Monday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 in the Nix Student Center at Truett McConnell University. Guest speaker will be WWII veteran Andy Negra, 94, who took part in the D-Day invasion of France.
