Businesses in Downtown Gainesville have been impacted financially by the ongoing construction at the parking deck on the square, but they're trying to focus on what promises to be better days ahead.
By the time the construction is completed, there should be more parking, opening up the square to more business, but in the meantime, many business owners are seeing a decline in sales.
The parking deck construction is expected to wrap up right after Thanksgiving.
