A Gainesville man is facing charges, on top of an immigration hold, for allegedly holding his estranged wife and another man at gunpoint inside a home on Aug. 19.
Abraham Medellin-Soria, 31, is accused of entering his wife's home on Popular Springs Road and holding a gun to her face, threatening to kill her, said Lt. Scott Ware, Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman.
"He also punched her repeatedly in the face causing visible redness and swelling," said Ware.
Medellin-Soria then went after the other man, punching him repeatedly in the face.
Neither victim required hospitalization for their injuries, said Ware.
Medellin-Soria was arrested Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, aggravated assault, first-degree burglary and two counts of battery.
He remained, at last report, in the Hall County Jail without bond.
