Two more area teams were knocked out in the first round of the girls softball playoffs Wednesday.
Lafayette swept White County 4-1 and 9-0 in Class 4A.
In Class 2A, Union County dropped its Game 3 to Region 5-2A champion Heard County 10-5 on the road.
Banks County will hold its Game 3 showdown with Bremen on Friday.
In upcoming first round series:
In Class 5A, Buford, the No. 2 seed from Region 8-5A, will play host to Southwest DeKalb.
In Class 3A, East Hall, the Region 7-3A champion, and Jefferson, the Region 8-3A champion, both will get their first round series' under way on Friday.
The Lady Vikings will play host to Coahulla Creek while the Lady Dragons will play host to Cedar Grove.
Commerce is the No. 2 overall seed in Class A Public and received a first bye. The Lady Tigers will play Lanier County next week in the second round. Lanier County swept Wheeler County 7-1 and 13-3 in the first round.
