Drought conditions have returned to Hall County and most other counties in northeast Georgia.

The U.S. Drought Monitor's latest report, which was released on Thursday, shows "abnormally" dry conditions in all or parts of every county in the region, except Franklin.

Drought conditions extend through most of metro Atlanta and into parts of central, east and southeast Georgia, as well.   The driest parts of the state are in the Savannah area and just east of Macon.  These areas are considered "moderately" dry.

Meanwhile, above normal temperatures are expected to end across the state this week and a tropical system now in the Gulf of Mexico is expected to bring rain into Georgia, as well.
