FBI announces 'substantial' reward for information in Nov. armored truck robbery

Officials with the FBI in Atlanta announced a reward and offered new surveillance photos Tuesday in an effort to solve an armored car robbery case out of Barrow County.
 
Two armed suspects robbed a Dunbar armored truck outside of the Bank of America branch at 102 North Broad Street in Winder.  The incident unfolded at about 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017.
 
"The two suspects, believed to be male, were described as wearing black pants, black pullovers, gloves, and were wearing "Scream" masks," officials with the FBI wrote in media release.
 
In other new information, investigators said two vehicles spotted near the bank at the time of the robbery may be linked to the suspects.  They're described as a two-tone Subaru Outback and an early model Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck.
 
On the day of the crime, Winder Police Capt. Chris Cooper said the truck driver was servicing the bank's drive-up ATM when the robbery occurred.
 
The suspects, "forced the driver to the ground and took his weapon. They fled on foot and fired two shots as they ran," Cooper said.
 
FBI Atlanta Field Office Special Agent in Charge David LeValley announced the $12,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of suspects in the case.
