Another 100 houses are planned for Heritage Pointe Subdivision on the east side of Gainesville.

Geosam Capital US (Atlanta), LP, is asking the city to amend the existing Planned Unit Development (P-U-D) zoning on 85+ acres.  The firm's plans call for an additional 100 single-family, detached homes on the site.

"The purpose is to allow for 100 single family detached lots instead of 97 attached townhomes that were originally approved as part of the zoning in 2006 but were never constructed," according to documents on file with the city.

The property is located at the end of Lilac Creek Trail and Shady Lane Drive, within the subdivision.

The matter is scheduled for consideration by the Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board Feb. 13.
