Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, based out of Alpharetta, will hold two fundraising events in February to help with financing of day-to-day operations.

The non-profit agency aims to rescue cats and dogs from high-kill shelters across North Georgia. The rescued animals are cared for via a network of foster homes.

Director Sue Bova said the first event is a recital featuring world-renowned tenor Gianluca Sciarpelletti. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3 at First Baptist Church of Decatur.

A week later, on Feb. 10, the non-profit will hold its annual "For the Love of Paws" gala at the Hyatt Regency Buckhead.

"If you want to have a great time, come to our auction and the masquerade ball this year," Bova said. "It is a great time with a super live band."

Admission to the tenor performance is $75; tickets for the gala are $150.  Proceeds will be used for adoption costs as well as spay and neuter expenses.
