Posted 10:51AM on Wednesday 24th January 2018 ( 6 years ago )
A second residential fire damaged a house in Hall County Wednesday morning.  The latest occurred off of U.S. 129/Cleveland Highway.

In a roughly 10 a.m. email, Hall County Fire Services Captain Zachary Brackett said a neighbor reported the fire on Griffin Drive off of Lakeland Road.

"Arriving units reported a 2,500 square foot home with fire in the rear of the structure," Brackett wrote.

In an approximately 10:30 a.m. update, Brackett said the fire had been extinguished.

He said the homeowner, who wasn't home at the time of the fire, will be displaced as a result of it.

Investigators were looking for the cause of the fire.

Earlier in the day, four adults and one child were displaced as a result of a house fire in a subdivision off of Sardis Road.
