The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia has received $46,000 from PetSmart Charities to help fund its spay and neuter efforts in the area.

With the help of this donation, HSNEGA will be able to offer up to 800 surgeries at a reduced cost.

“We are so grateful to PetSmart Charities for their dedication to saving lives through supporting affordable spay/neuter surgery,” says Julie Edwards, HSNEGA Executive Director. “The impact of this grant goes beyond just 800 surgeries...it will result in tens of thousands of companion animals who don’t wind up in shelters facing euthanasia.”

According to a HSNEGA press rrelease, PetSmart Charities has funded over 1.4 million spay and neuter surgeries nationwide since 2009.
