SUWANEE — The Buford girls basketball team dropped a 62-58 battle with Norcross on Monday in the MLK Classic at Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee.
The Lady Wolves (15-3) led 16-11 after the first quarter but Norcross tied the contest 28-28 at halftime and led 43-41 after three quarters.
Buford tied it at 55-55 with 2:30 remaining but could not silence the Norcross offense down the stretch in its fifth game in seven days.
Kya Styles scored 14 points to pace the Lady Wolves, while Tory Ozment added 10.
Buford will play host to Loganville on Tuesday.
