Lavonia police seek man who robbed in-store bank Thursday night

LAVONIA — Lavonia Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a while male who robbed Northeast Georgia Bank on Thursday.

According to Lavonia Police Department, at approximately 6:11 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, an armed robbery occurred at the Northeast Georgia Bank inside Dill’s Food City within the city of Lavonia.

The male involved was wearing a brown jacket with a hood, a black baseball cap, blue jeans, dark-colored shoes, black gloves, and a black shirt. The suspect is a white male, possibly in his 20s or 30s, according to Lavonia P.D. The suspect was possibly seen entering a dark-colored car with an unknown direction of travel.

Lavonia police released two photographs of the individual and ask that anyone who recognizes him or who has any information pertaining to the robbery to contact Lavonia Police Department at (706) 356-4848. Callers may remain anonymous.
