The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the Georgia, Florida "water wars" case on Monday.
According to documentation on the high court's website, lawyers and representatives for both states will present final arguments in the case.
Florida is filing exceptions against the recommendation made by Special Master Ralph Lancaster, of Maine.
Florida officials take exception to the report and denial of relief. They asked the court to reconsider several points in the report.
This comes after a month-long trial in 2016, with Lancaster appointed by the Supreme Court to oversee the legal battle that claimed Georgia uses too much water from the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint river basin and hindered Florida's economy. His findings, released in October 2017, resulted in a recommendation in favor of Georgia.
Lancaster, in the 70 page report, recommended denial of Florida's request for relief and said it could not prove Georgia's booming metro Atlanta was using more water than allowed.
Along with Florida, Alabama has also been in the fray with Georgia over water.
