A Jasper woman is dead and a 2-year-old girl is in the hospital following a single-car wreck Wednesday in Dawson County.
Louise Duncan, 69, was heading east on Ga. 53 about seven miles east of Dawsonville when she went off the road on a curve, into a ditch and hit a drainage culvert, according to a report from the Georgia State Patrol.
Duncan was killed in the wreck, and officials said in an email to AccessWDUN that she wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The girl was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, then airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for treatment.
Her condition was not immediately available.
