Anyone passing through Suwanee Town Center Park this week might think that city staff is putting the Christmas decorations out a bit ahead of schedule, but the holiday theme is actually part of the reboot of the television show "Dynasty," which is shooting in the area.
Crews were seen Thursday putting up Christmas trees, lights and wrapped Christmas presents in front of city hall — a daily occurrence this week, according to Marty Allen, city manager.
And it's not the first production to shoot in Suwanee.
"We do have a lot of films (coming to Suwanee). What you've seen lately is 'Dynasty' shooting a lot of scenes in and around the area," said Allen.
"Keep your eyes open and you'll probably see some landmarks that you recognize (on the show)."
The show will be shooting in the area at least through Friday, said Allen.
"Dynasty" originally ran from 1981 to 1989 on ABC, and a reboot was officially announced in 2016.
The reboot is set to premiere on Oct. 11 on The CW network.
"You'll probably see (Suwanee City Hall) at some point (in the series)," said Allen. "Probably see it a lot, in fact."
