TOCCOA — A Martin man was airlifted for treatment after a motorcycle wreck in rural Stephens County Saturday night.

The wreck happened at 8:37 p.m. on Seven Forks Road and involved a 2013 KTM 450 Minibike driven by Timothy Brandon Ray, 30, of Martin, according to Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa.

The vehicle was traveling southwest across a private lawn approaching the driveway when Ray lost control, the crash report states.

“The motorcycle overturned and the rider was separated from the minibike,” the report states. “The rider struck the gravel with his forehead and sustained two broken bones and his back from the impact.”

There was no outside lighting, no lights on the minibike and no helmet usage, according to the report.

Ray was cited for driving under the influence.
