Drivers on I-85 in Gwinnett County might need to seek an alternate route this week, as the Georgia Department of Transportation plans to close three northbound lanes each night for construction.
The closure is expected to affect traffic between Boggs Road — just north of Ga. 316 — and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, according to a news release.
It will happen nightly Monday through Friday, Sept. 29 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Crews will be working on the new extension to the Peach Pass express lanes.
