An overnight fire caused heavy damage to a home in North Hall County, according to Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett.

Crews were called to the home in the 3600 block of Thompson Bend off Hardy Road around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

"Upon arrival crews found an approximately 1,500 square-foot two-story wood frame structure with smoke coming from the attic," Brackett said in an email. "Crews operated in an offensive mode and extinguished the fire."

Brackett said all the occupants of the house were able to escape without injury.

He said the house sustained about $100,000 worth of damage; total value of the home was approximately $150,000.

At this point, the cause of the fire is unknown.
