Lakewood Baptist Church will celebrate “Adoption Sunday” tomorrow noting the successes of adoption, foster care and service to families through its Jochebed’s Hope ministry. Services are at 9:30 and 11:00.
Jochebed’s Hope launched a year ago to meet the critical needs of children in foster care in the region. Named for the mother of the Bible’s first adopted child, Moses, the ministry conducts workshops about adoption, orphan or foster care responsibilities and organizes support for the adoption community.
Hall County Chief Juvenile Court Judge Lindsay Burton will be the church’s special guest. Live and videotaped testimonials will be offered from families supported by Jochebed’s Hope.
