NORCROSS — The North Gwinnett defense forced five turnovers and the Bulldogs never trailed in taking an impressive 35-14 win over rival Norcross Friday night on the road.
The victory for North Gwinnett (3-1) snapped a four-game losing streak to the Blue Devils (1-2) and the Bulldogs have now won four of the last five games played at Norcross Stadium.
Knox Denning had a pair of fumble recoveries, Warren Burrel had a fumble recovery, D'armani Ridley had an interception, and Jayden McDonald had an interception and caused a fumble for North Gwinnett.
The offense, meanwhile started strong jumping out to a 14-0 behind Tyler Goodsen, who had 230 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the night.
Norcross pulled within 14-7 by halftime but the Bulldogs pulled away again in the second half.
