Gwinnett County Voter Registration and Elections is catching up with Hall County and will begin doing business in two languages.
Monday, Gwinnett County sent out a voter poling notification in both English and Spanish.
Elections Director Lynn Ledford said, starting with the May elections, electronic, provisional and absentee ballots will also be bilingual, as will other matters of voter business.
"Information that they have to fill out to obtain their ballot," Ledford said. "Their voter certificate or their absentee ballot will also be bilingual. So hopefully they will understand the documentation we have provided."
Ledford said the county made the move after census taking showed a steady increase in the Hispanic population.
Other counties are expected to follow suit.
