The 32.2-acre property sits along White Street near White Street Lane, and the new development would feature a mixture of single family attached and detached homes, along with stacked flats, according to Marty Allen, city manager.
"It's been zoned a couple different times, and it's been sold to a new developer that (wanted) to tweak to the site plan," said Allen in a prior interview with AccessWDUN.
"It (was) basically the same design, but we had some zoning conditions that were very specific to the previous site plan."
The property is located near the intersection of Buford Highway and McGinnis Ferry Road.
City staff and the city planning commission had previously given their approval to the updated plans.
Council approved the plan at its regular voting session Tuesday night.
