JEFFERSON — Jefferson football made an impressive start to the 2017 campaign on Friday, dominating Discovery 43-0 in Jefferson.
The fourth-ranked Dragons (1-0) stormed to a 36-0 halftime lead, as running back Colby Wood racked up four touchdowns, including three rushing and one receiving. Quarterback Bryce Moore also connected on 6 of 10 pass attampts for 144 yards and two scores in the first half -- one each to Wood and Justin Cole.
Jefferson finished with 448 total yards, including 264 rushing.
Discovery managed just 73 total yards in the first half and did not cross midfield in the second half.
Jefferson will travel to face Riverwood next week.
