The president of the Lanier Tea Party Patriots, Lucretia Hughes, has announced plans to run for the District 47 state Senate Seat, now held by Frank Ginn, next year.
The District includes Barrow, Clarke, Jackson and Madison counties.
Hughes, a self-described "constitutional conservative," is the organizer of Trump United For America. She owns and operates a catering business.
“I am running because I am the Tea Party. I am running because I am the grassroots.” Hughes said. “Enough is enough. Enough of politicians getting in to the Gold Dome and forgetting every promise they’ve ever made.”
