Emergency crews retrieved a 21-year-old woman from Lake Lanier Wednesday night, according to a Hall County Fire Services official.

The roughly 8:00 p.m. response was in reference to a reported drowning at the end of Ahaluna Drive.  First responders found the woman in roughly five feet of water, according to Hall County Fire Services Captain Zachary Brackett.  After quickly getting her out of the water, Brackett said crews began treatment, including CPR.  She was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

"The patient was found initially in cardiac arrest and a pulse was restored prior to arrival at the hospital. A current condition of the patient is unknown," Brackett wrote in a Thursday morning email.

Details on what led up to the emergency were not available.  Officials had initially said the victim was 23-years-old.
