CLEVELAND — The White County Board of Commissioners made it official this week, approving the 2017 tax millage rate for the county at 9.998 mills.
The voted followed the third and final public hearing on the tax millage rate for the county Monday.
At the same time, commissioners, in a procedural move, approved the tax rate set by the White County Board of Education of 17.978 mills for a total county tax millage rate of 27.976 mills.
The county tax millage rate is expected to generate $8.7 million dollars in property tax revenue.
No date has been set when tax notices will be hitting mailboxes.
