Blue Ridge water customers Monday were still experiencing some impact from a water emergency that began Saturday.
Power issues at the water treatment plant caused the city's water supply to get extremely low. At one point over the weekend, bottled water was distributed from city hall and a fire station.
In a Monday Facebook update, city officials said all non essential outdoor water use is prohibited, including vehicle washing, pressure washing and water for pools.
A precautionary boil water advisory remained in place for some customers Monday morning.
"If your pressure got extremely low or you lost water service altogether, please boil your water," the city Facebook post stated. "If you did not experience any water issues, you may boil water if you want to, but it is not required."
Despite the issues, the city officials indicated there have been no reports of contamination to the water.
