A Pendergrass man is behind bars without bond for the alleged sexual abuse of a Hall County teenager between 2012 and 2017.
Eleazar Mata, 41, was a friend of the victim's family, according to Lt. Scott Ware, Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman.
The girl was 13 when the abuse, which happened "numerous times," according to Ware, started in Jan. 2012; it ended in April 2017.
Deputies obtained warrants for Mata's arrest on May 10, and took him into custody Thursday.
He's charged with child molestation aggravated and child molestation.
