A woman missing for two days in Gilmer County was found dead Friday in the Cooswattee River Resort.
The body of Jacqueline Holt, 44, was found around 5:30 p.m. in the river near the Fife Bridge, according to a news release from the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office.
"Ms. Holt's family reported her missing Wednesday around mid-afternoon, and a search effort began using divers, deputies checking with local residents, K-9 search dogs and a Georgia State Patrol helicopter flying at night using infrared technology," the release stated.
Foul play is not suspected, but the investigation is ongoing.
