Peach State Bank & Trust has named Preston Bowen, Sandy Carter and Elizabeth Jacobs Higgins to its Community Development Board, which is responsible for keeping the bank abreast of local business and community trends.
Bowen is co-owner of Lanier Cold Storage. Bowen is an active board member with the Hospital Authority of Hall County and the Northeast Georgia Health System.
A former commercial banker in Atlanta and Gainesville, Carter works with Don Carter Realty as a real estate specialist. She is a longtime volunteer in local schools and the arts as well as a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church, where she serves as a board trustee and member of the Staff Parish Relations Committee.
Higgins is a Gainesville native and the executive director of Vision 2030, a community planning project of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. Growing up and living in Hall County, Higgins currently serves on the board of directors for United Way of Hall County.
