Authorities have now identified the Gainesville man who was killed in an accident in the Atlantic Ocean in Myrtle Beach Sunday.

The Horry County Coroner identified the victim as 35-year-old Raymundo Garcia, but she said they don't know yet exactly what caused his death.

Myrtle Beach Police said Garcia was in the ocean - about knee deep - with a young family member when a wave crashed over him.

He was pulled to the shore by a lifeguard and a family member. They say the lifeguard - along with an off duty EMT and a police officer - performed CPR on Garcia, but he later died at the hospital.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
