LISTEN: Georgia faces shortage of bee venom extracts for those with allergies

A dwindling number of bees, wasps, hornets and other stinging insects would signal good news for those that are allergic, right? Maybe not according to Dr. Andy Nish from the Allergy & Asthma Care Center in Gainesville. 

Because of the rapidly falling number of honeybees in the southeast, the venom extracts used by medical professionals in shots that prevent life-threatening reactions is at a critical low.
