Gwinnett County police remain on the scene Thursday morning of a stabbing call in Loganville.
According to an email statement from Cpl. Michele Pihera, officers found what she called a "horrific" scene when they arrived at the Emory Drive home.
An update from the department's Twitter account indicated an adult male and four children were dead, all apparently stabbed to death. Another child was transported to the hospital.
A woman, apparently the wife of the male victim and mother of the children, was taken into custody.
A report later in the morning indicated the children were all under the age of 10.
Investigators said the woman had not given them a motive for the crime.
