A North Hall woman, deeply involved in the running of the family farm and in community service, is this year's winner of Leadership Georgia's E. Dale Threadgill Community Service Award.
Dixie Truelove was singled out for the award because she is "renowned for her dedication to educating the public of the importance of agriculture in our country and within our community through leading the operations of her family farm," according to a posting on the Leadership Georgia website.
The posting also noted her many community service contributions to the Gainesville-Hall County area.
Truelove and other of this year's Leadership Georgia award winners will be honored at the organization's 8th Annual Gala November 3rd at Chateau Elan in Braselton.
