Three men and a woman face charges in Winder in connection to a string of 20 BB gun shootings that did more than $10,000 damage to local businesses and vehicles.

Mansfield Yancy, 18, of Winder, Deontavious Williams, 18, of Statham, Hannah Wallace, 18, of Statham and Damon Griffin, 20, of Auburn are all facing 22 charges related to the alleged crimes, including criminal property damage, trespassing and reckless conduct, according to Capt. Chris Cooper, Winder Police spokesman.

The suspects are accused of "riding around late at night shooting out the windows of both vehicles and businesses with a BB gun," said Cooper.

Most of the damage happened in the early morning hours between May 16 and May 25, and no injuries were reported in any of the incidents.

"From what we gathered, these were some young kids that had recently graduated high school, and this is what they set out to do at the beginning of their summer," said Cooper.

Several of the victims were able to catch a glimpse of the foursome, which allowed law enforcement to piece together the suspects' descriptions, and eventually bring them into custody.

"It was, literally, drive-by shootings with a BB gun," said Cooper.

Cooper said no further charges are expected in the case.
