A single lane of Ga. 53 will be closed Tuesday as crews continue building a new bridge over Lake Lanier in Hall County.
The closure will affect an area between Dogwood Path and Little Hall Park between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Scott Bridge Company of Opelika, AL started work on the project in March 2016, and expects to be finished by March 2019.
GDOT officials said the $19.7 million project is 22-percent complete.
