Single lane closures continue on State Route 53 during the daytime Wednesday and Thursday evening.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said in a press release the single lane closures are required as part of the Bolling Bridge replacement project. These closures would allow crews to continue to build the new bridge's substructure.
The lane closures will be in effect between Dogwood Trail and Little Hall Park Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday at 7 p.m. overnight to 6 a.m. Friday.
The work will be done weather permitting. DOT officials remind drivers to slow down when approaching and driving through the work zone.
