Truett McConnell University had eight more student-athletes named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes as announced by the national office last week. The eight honorees included four baseball players, two softball players and two track and field athletes.

Chris Carden, Casey Guilliams, Michael Long and Andrew Fogarty join 11 other AAC baseball players on the list. From softball, Olivia Darley and Reba Jones were honored alongside 16 other conference honorees. Emily Hood was honored in women's track and field, while Robert Bledsoe was the men's track and field honoree for TMU.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
